Job Requirements

  • Previous management or supervisory experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • Previous culinary experience or education
  • Maintain a current Food Handlers card
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work the hours necessary to complete the job
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, standing, walking, and use kitchen equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • Previous management or supervisory experience in a high-volume kitchen

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Maintain a current Food Handlers card
  • Positive attitude and commitment to customer service

Job Duties

  • Oversee all food production and execution for the pub
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff
  • Enforce portioning guidelines
  • Interview and hire kitchen staff
  • Order food product and kitchen supplies
  • Manage staff scheduling
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations
  • Manage food and labor costs
  • Ensure timely food expediting
  • Attend department head meetings
  • Facilitate staff and manager meetings
  • Take and extend monthly inventory
  • Develop new food offerings
  • Maintain safe and sanitary work environment
