Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand and move around the store up to 100% of the working time
- Capability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop regularly
- Occasional ability to push, pull, and lift items weighing more than 25 pounds
- Familiarity with using janitorial equipment and rolling racks
- Availability to work flexible hours as required
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage positively with customers and team members
Job Qualifications
- Effectively communicate with customers, associates, and store leadership in a friendly and respectful manner
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail
- Prior retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to operate store equipment including registers and PDTs
- Adhere to company dress code and maintain a professional appearance consistently
- Work collaboratively within a team environment
- Demonstrate integrity and honesty in daily responsibilities
Job Duties
- Greet all customers with eye contact, a smile, and a courteous hello throughout the store
- Assist customers at the register and with merchandise questions politely and knowledgeably
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised sales floor by performing daily sizing and recovery tasks
- Ensure safety by keeping clear egress paths, promptly addressing unsafe conditions, and adhering to safety protocols
- Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and replenishing restroom supplies to maintain hygienic store standards
- Uphold company policies regarding cash, check, and credit transactions, maintaining accuracy and accountability
- Follow loss prevention measures and report any suspicious activities or shortages to store leadership
