Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in cleaning or custodial work preferred
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to perform physical tasks including crouching kneeling bending and stooping
- ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- ability to follow safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards
- must meet Broward County Child Care Licensing requirements
- must maintain high moral standards and work well around children
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods and practices
- knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment
- ability to use and maintain a variety of cleaning equipment
- ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
- ability to adapt to an evolving and continually improving environment
- ability to respond to supervision guidance and direction of superiors in a positive receptive manner
- ability to demonstrate a polite helpful and courteous manner when engaged with the public
- ability to demonstrate understanding consideration and respect of cultural religious and gender differences
Job Duties
- Clean required areas of facilities including trash removal and other custodial activities
- implement and direct cleaning of the facility
- work with full time employees to develop cleaning plan and procedures
- prepare and maintain all necessary materials to complete daily cleaning assignments
- report safety hazards to supervisor and ensure all safety regulations and requirements are adhered to
- meet and maintain requirements of a person working in a licensed childcare facility as mandated by Broward County Child Care Licensing
- meet and maintain all requirements necessary for the Family Central Child Care Food Program
