Communities Putting Learning Communities (CPLC) is a well-established organization devoted to fostering educational and developmental opportunities for children and families in underserved communities. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least six months experience and/or training with children ages 0-5 preferred
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to follow through on assigned tasks
- Relate positively and clearly with children, parents, volunteers, and staff
- Demonstrate basic computer literacy and skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Valid Texas driver’s license free of restrictions preferred for Texas centers
- Valid New Mexico driver’s license free of restrictions preferred for New Mexico centers
Job Qualifications

- Child Development Associate (CDA) certification preferred
- Experience or training with children ages 0-5 preferred

- Ability to relate positively and clearly with children, parents, volunteers, and staff
- Basic computer literacy and skills

- Valid Texas or New Mexico Driver's License preferred
Job Duties
- Assist the bus driver and facilities custodian to ensure children observe safety rules and regulations while on the bus
- Provide educational activities to complement children’s classroom education
- Deliver clear and appropriate directives to children regarding conduct and safety on the bus
- Actively supervise children by sight and sound at all times and in all environments
- Maintain health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment
- Facilitate health practices to keep children safe on the bus, outdoor, and indoor environments
- Promote school readiness by preparing children and families for school and life success
