Job Duties
- Prepare facility for daily operations
- complete set-up of tables
- attend to and complete all other set-up and prep work
- straighten chairs and ensure all set-up equipment is put away before guests arrive
- ensure an outstanding guest experience
- possess knowledge of menu descriptions and communicate them with guests including dietary concerns
- provide historically accurate portrayal of a dining experience
- make and serve beverages to guests
- serve meals and beverages professionally
- clear tables properly
- remove dishware from tables
- take trays to breakdown area
- ensure accuracy of orders and quality of food served
- handle cash and know prices
- interact and communicate with guests and co-workers professionally and friendly
- maintain appearance of serving section and kitchen area
- ensure cleanliness of work station per health and sanitation guidelines
- maintain cleanliness of all restaurant areas
- perform assigned closing duties
- care and maintenance of historical clothing uniform
- handle and store all equipment properly
- adhere to The Henry Ford and Food Service Department rules and policies
- perform other assigned activities
- act as team player providing expertise as appropriate
- use best judgment when taking care of guests and notify management of any issues
