Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver's license
- good driving record
- ability to complete airport ramp driver training
- physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly
- ability to operate manual transmission vehicle
- good communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- Possess valid driver's license and maintain good driving record
- complete training on how to drive on airport ramp
- understand safety signs, warning lights, and proximity to moving vehicles and aircraft
- ability to perform physical job requirements including repetitive lifting up to 75 pounds, pushing, pulling, and climbing
- ability to drive truck with manual transmission
- general knowledge of truck mechanics
- good listening and verbal communication skills
- ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
- ability to work in all weather conditions
- good written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively and professionally
Job Duties
- Operate and drive 16-foot box truck on airport ramp to transport gondolas with trash and recycling
- pick up trash from bins and gondolas around the airport
- collect gondola equipment and sand spreading equipment
- toss recycling materials and trash into large bins or compactors
- clean specified areas with cleaning equipment
- pick up janitorial supplies for delivery to site
- document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- report defects, accidents or violations
- comply with truck driving rules and regulations
- occasional power washing
- other duties as assigned
