Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to work physical demanding tasks including walking, standing, bending and lifting heavy objects
- Ability to work first shift
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in multiple locations
- Willingness to learn cleaning techniques and safety procedures
- Commitment to following safety protocols including PPE use
Job Qualifications
- Ability to operate and use tools/equipment
- Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions
- Strong follow-through on delegated tasks
- Good client/customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping methods, cleaning products and use
- Maintain a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Collect trash and replace garbage liners, clean garbage receptacles as required
- Ability to work between multiple locations
- Dust and clean all furniture, fixtures, and horizontal surfaces as required
- Vacuum all carpeted areas, mop tile and concrete floor areas as required
- Wash, disinfect, and restock all restroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, paper and soap dispensers as required
- Empty trash in all washrooms, clean mirrors, walls and toilet partitions
- Clean window sills and windows
- Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs and any damages
- Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner
- Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition
- Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals
- Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
