Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Aviation Management
- Minimum 5 years experience in Aviation Management
- Must hold FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
- At least 10 years of combined Line or Heavy Maintenance experience
- Proven management experience
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, TRAX, Sabre
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Able to perform physical tasks as required up to 10 lbs of force
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally less than 10 percent of the time
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Aviation Management
- 5-7 years experience in Aviation Management
- 10+ years of combined Line or Heavy Maintenance Experience
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
- A320 Gen Fam certification
- Management experience
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, TRAX, Sabre
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and leadership skills
- Ability to plan, organize and delegate responsibilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, prioritize and multi-task
- Flexible availability including overnight shifts, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Maintenance Control department while on shift and responsible for all maintenance activities and personnel
- Monitor and review all maintenance activities system-wide including MEL, NEF, CDL, MWI activity on the fleet and schedule repairs timely
- Maintain department goals and performance objectives
- Ensure effective communication to VP of Tech Ops, Tech Ops leadership, and OCC operational departments
- Conduct conference calls and meetings as required
- Notify leadership of significant events and ensure proper follow-up including coding in TRAX and station coordination
- Work with OCC Ops Managers to ensure accurate company-wide Category messaging related to Maintenance activities
- Coordinate discrepancies with applicable departments to reduce operational schedule impact
- Oversee and counsel Maintenance Controllers on corrective action reports
- Maintain work schedules ensuring adequate coverage
- Review work turnovers for completion and accuracy
- Assist MOC supervisors as needed
- Ensure all Maintenance control training is up to date
- Conduct new hire training and coach staff
- Manage performance and accountability of Maintenance Controllers and supervisors
- Perform other duties as assigned with flexibility depending on circumstances
