Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years leadership and management experience in the airport ground handling business
- proven ability to manage a business unit
- experience in budgeting and financial management
- experience in operational planning and resource allocation
- working knowledge of ground support equipment operation
- understanding of airport operational environment
- experience with commercial aviation issues
- health and safety management experience
- must pass a drug test
- ability to lift at least 70 pounds continuously
- valid driver's license in good standing
- availability and flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- must pass FBI background check
- obtain US Customs seal
Job Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years leadership and management experience in the airport ground handling business
- proven track record in managing a business unit
- experience in budgeting and financial management
- experience in operational planning and resource allocation
- working knowledge of ground support equipment operation
- understanding of the wider airport operational environment
- experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation
- experience of health and safety management
Job Duties
- Reviews reports and records to ascertain data required for planning department
- directs and coordinates all air carrier fueling functions and ensures workers and equipment are available when and where they are needed
- investigates causes of accidents and recommends safety measures for preventing further occurrences
- communicates required information to other managers, supervisors, and departments
- manages supervisors and employees
- responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the shift
- carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's EEOC and Anti-Harassment and Discrimination policies including interviewing, and training employees
- planning, assigning, and directing work
- and appraising performance
