Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years leadership and management experience in the airport ground handling business
  • proven ability to manage a business unit
  • experience in budgeting and financial management
  • experience in operational planning and resource allocation
  • working knowledge of ground support equipment operation
  • understanding of airport operational environment
  • experience with commercial aviation issues
  • health and safety management experience
  • must pass a drug test
  • ability to lift at least 70 pounds continuously
  • valid driver's license in good standing
  • availability and flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • must pass FBI background check
  • obtain US Customs seal

Job Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years leadership and management experience in the airport ground handling business
  • proven track record in managing a business unit
  • experience in budgeting and financial management
  • experience in operational planning and resource allocation
  • working knowledge of ground support equipment operation
  • understanding of the wider airport operational environment
  • experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation
  • experience of health and safety management

Job Duties

  • Reviews reports and records to ascertain data required for planning department
  • directs and coordinates all air carrier fueling functions and ensures workers and equipment are available when and where they are needed
  • investigates causes of accidents and recommends safety measures for preventing further occurrences
  • communicates required information to other managers, supervisors, and departments
  • manages supervisors and employees
  • responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the shift
  • carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's EEOC and Anti-Harassment and Discrimination policies including interviewing, and training employees
  • planning, assigning, and directing work
  • and appraising performance
