Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • three to six months of experience in sales or clerical roles
  • experience with Hilton systems preferred
  • good organizational and multitasking abilities
  • strong communication skills

  • ability to handle confidential information
  • proficiency in computer applications
  • reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • three to six months of sales and/or clerical experience
  • Hilton experience required
  • ability to perform duties of Director of Sales or Catering Manager when needed
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • proficiency in sales software and revenue systems
  • strong customer service orientation
  • capability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • attention to detail
  • ability to collaborate with multiple departments
  • strong interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • entering group SRPs
  • monitor reports from PMS/Revenue Systems
  • call for cut-off dates, rooming lists, and agendas for groups
  • contribute to the implementation of major local sales efforts
  • manage daily administration of the Sales Office
  • maintain knowledge of Sales policies and procedures
  • coordinate utilization of policies throughout departments
  • assist Director of Sales with daily duties
  • cover for Director of Sales or Catering Manager in their absence
  • meet with clients professionally in absence of senior staff
  • utilize sales strategies to maximize revenue
  • compose and type routine correspondence, reports, and contracts
  • ensure all Sales Department documents are accurate and timely
  • maintain filing system for sales records
  • attend committees and sales meetings and relay information
  • schedule appointments, travel, and reservations
  • coordinate vendor arrangements
  • establish vendor relationships to maximize revenue
  • process employee paperwork
  • answer phones and route calls appropriately
  • handle mail for Sales Department
  • send property information to guests
  • assist clients in booking small functions and pool parties
  • send and follow up on group room contracts
  • send guest surveys and distribute results
  • post advanced deposits/payments to group accounts
  • create promotional materials such as fliers and mailers
  • research internet sites for hotel links
  • assist in preparing reports for Revenue Meetings
  • contribute to various sales and revenue meetings
  • copy correspondence and materials
  • assist office staff during downtime
  • respond to guest requests and ensure satisfaction
  • maintain professional appearance and follow company policies
