Job Requirements

- Previous experience in food and beverage service
- Ability to supervise staff effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must pass a background check
- Must comply with drug testing policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food and beverage service preferred
- Previous supervisory experience is an asset
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of guest service standards
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of safety and hygiene regulations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
Job Duties
- Supervise all employees engaged in bartending and serving for a specific outlet
- Review manifest and staffing levels to determine appropriate work assignments for the staff
- Investigate and resolve guest complaints or concerns in accordance with standard procedures
- Understand all aspects of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Develop schedules to reflect staffing levels needed to give optimal guest service
- Check out restaurant cashiers, cocktail servers or other employees with cash drawers to ensure cash balances
- Train new employees and update all employees on new procedures or policies
- Conduct a physical inventory of bar ware and requisition replacement items if needed
- Coach and counsel all employees when needed to reinforce department and company policy and procedures
- Maintain a well-informed shift by conducting daily shift meetings
- Set up room and ensure adequate supply of liquor stock
- Bartender in the Pavilion or on the vessel
- Clean furniture, mirrors, ashtrays, stock buffet and put out newspapers
- Stock bar, mix and prepare drink orders
- Wait on overflow tables
- Operate the cash register to tally orders and comps
- Respond to guest’s requests and questions
- Follow safety rules and keep work area clean and orderly
- Other duties as assigned
