Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service
  • Ability to supervise staff effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must comply with drug testing policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of guest service standards
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Supervise all employees engaged in bartending and serving for a specific outlet
  • Review manifest and staffing levels to determine appropriate work assignments for the staff
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints or concerns in accordance with standard procedures
  • Understand all aspects of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Develop schedules to reflect staffing levels needed to give optimal guest service
  • Check out restaurant cashiers, cocktail servers or other employees with cash drawers to ensure cash balances
  • Train new employees and update all employees on new procedures or policies
  • Conduct a physical inventory of bar ware and requisition replacement items if needed
  • Coach and counsel all employees when needed to reinforce department and company policy and procedures
  • Maintain a well-informed shift by conducting daily shift meetings
  • Set up room and ensure adequate supply of liquor stock
  • Bartender in the Pavilion or on the vessel
  • Clean furniture, mirrors, ashtrays, stock buffet and put out newspapers
  • Stock bar, mix and prepare drink orders
  • Wait on overflow tables
  • Operate the cash register to tally orders and comps
  • Respond to guest’s requests and questions
  • Follow safety rules and keep work area clean and orderly
  • Other duties as assigned
