Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years experience in event management or related field
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university
  • minimum 1 year experience in event management
  • management experience preferred
  • ability to work full time
  • located in Bellevue, Washington
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • professionalism in guest relations

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED with 1-2 years experience in event management
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with at least 1 year experience in event management
  • experience in managing events of average complexity
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work collaboratively with sales, property staff, and customers
  • proficient in event logistics and operational management
  • ability to lead teams and conduct meetings
  • customer service excellence focus

Job Duties

  • prepare all event documentation
  • coordinate with sales, property departments, and customers
  • manage group room blocks and meeting space
  • recognize and maximize revenue opportunities through up-selling
  • act as liaison between sales team and customers
  • conduct formal pre- and post-event meetings
  • ensure billing accuracy and conduct bill reviews
  • deliver exceptional customer service
  • handle guest problems and complaints
  • follow up with customers post-event
  • lead event management teams
  • support sales process and revenue forecasting
  • review guest satisfaction feedback with employees
  • assist in corrective action plans
