Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of experience in event management or related area
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in event management
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales and operations teams
- Must adhere to company policies and procedures
- Availability to engage in event phases including pre-event, event, and post-event
- Capacity to manage operational challenges and customer issues
- Proficiency in billing accuracy and client reviews
- Leadership skills for team coordination and meetings
- Commitment to customer service excellence
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years experience in event management or related field
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major with at least 1 year experience in event management
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple events and coordinate teams
- Proficient in communication with clients and internal departments
- Knowledge of event management trends and customer service
- Experience in billing and revenue forecasting
- Leadership abilities to conduct pre- and post-event meetings and empower teams
- Problem-solving skills and ability to develop alternative solutions
Job Duties
- Ensures events progress seamlessly by following established procedures and collaborating with employees
- Greets customers during events and coordinates hand-off to operations team
- Adheres to standards, policies, and procedures
- Ensures billing accuracy and reviews bills with clients before final processing
- Manages group room blocks and meeting spaces for assigned groups
- Identifies operational challenges and develops solutions with staff and customers
- Acts as liaison between sales and customer throughout event process
- Participates in customer site inspections and supports sales process
- Delivers excellent customer service and empowers employees
- Coordinates and communicates event details verbally and in writing
- Oversees customer experience from file turnover to post-event
- Follows up with customers post-event
- Responds to guest problems and complaints
- Leads pre- and post-event meetings
- Assists in sales process and revenue forecasting
- Reviews guest satisfaction results and provides employee feedback
- Implements corrective action plans and service improvements
