Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in hotel or sales environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales information systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform moderate physical tasks
  • Commitment to Azul Hospitality grooming and attendance standards

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of hospitality market dynamics and competitor analysis
  • Proficiency with sales and account management software
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Familiarity with Marriott account resources
  • High level of customer service orientation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders

Job Duties

  • Work with Area Director of Sales to identify top accounts and key buyers
  • Identify share shift targets within Business Transient segment and create sales actions
  • Collaborate with U.S. Account Sales/GSO teams to drive production from high priority accounts
  • Negotiate yearly Special Corporate Negotiated rates
  • Solicit new accounts using competitor intelligence and internal referrals
  • Ensure property lead generation programs through Operations teams
  • Drive customer satisfaction through daily interactions and hosting appreciation events
  • Conduct customer-facing sales activities and site inspections
  • Maintain up-to-date lead information in sales systems
  • Qualify and maintain customer long-term business potential
  • Present stakeholder hotel benefits and features
  • Utilize negotiation skills and creative selling abilities
  • Use all relevant information systems to research accounts
  • Understand overall market conditions and competitor dynamics
  • Communicate market trends and opportunities
  • Utilize marketing initiatives to convert leads
  • Track weekly sales activities and revenue relationships
  • Set daily priorities and participate in Sales Strategy Meetings
  • Activate local tactics and communicate best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned
