Job Requirements

  • bachelors degree required
  • minimum six years hotel management experience including two years in similar capacity
  • ability to provide and maintain valid drivers license
  • excellent communication skills
  • knowledge of employment and labor laws
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • able to stand, walk, and maneuver for extended periods
  • proficient with computers and hotel software
  • ability to work varying schedules
  • maintain neat and well-groomed appearance
  • comply with company safety policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • bachelors degree in hotel, restaurant, business administration, or equivalent education and experience
  • minimum of six years hotel management experience including two years in a similar leadership role
  • excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, key system, and POS
  • knowledge of complex mathematical calculations and budgetary analysis
  • thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • ability to analyze and forecast data
  • strong issue resolution and analytical skills
  • ability to supervise large teams
  • self-driven and able to work independently

Job Duties

  • lead the management of rooms, food and beverage, and engineering areas to maximize financial performance and guest satisfaction
  • coordinate and manage hotel operations to achieve profitability and protect business assets
  • direct revenue maximization through market analysis, business plan development, and marketing efforts
  • measure marketing plan effectiveness and manage revenue diversification
  • train and motivate staff to meet quality standards
  • set and monitor departmental goals
  • mobilize supervisory staff to meet daily objectives
  • promote team spirit and productivity
  • develop strategic business plans with defined operational and profitability goals
  • coordinate capital improvement projects
  • conduct staff meetings
  • oversee staff services to ensure a compliant and productive work environment
  • handle HR matters including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
  • monitor payroll and expenses according to budget
  • foster communication and cooperation among departments
  • resolve guest issues and promote exceeding guest expectations
  • attend operational and departmental meetings
  • enforce safe work practices and regulatory compliance
