Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Hotel/Restaurant or Business Administration
  • Minimum of six years hotel management experience including two years in a similar role
  • Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to travel occasionally
  • Must maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Must comply with attendance standards
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Ability to work varying schedules as per business needs
  • Must have knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Must be able to sit for up to eight hours and stand/walk as required
  • Must be able to operate office and hotel equipment efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Hotel/Restaurant or Business Administration
  • Minimum of six years hotel management experience including two years in a similar capacity
  • Excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, written and electronic
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key system and POS
  • Ability to analyze and forecast data
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
  • Ability to supervise large staff effectively
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • Ability to deal with internal and external customers with tact and diplomacy
  • Self-driven and able to work independently

Job Duties

  • Lead the effective management of Rooms, Food & Beverage and Engineering departments to maximize financial performance while upholding quality standards and guest satisfaction
  • Coordinate and manage hotel operations to achieve maximum profitability, ensure guest satisfaction, protect financial assets, and maintain the building
  • Direct the maximization of room revenue through market anticipation and business plan development
  • Measure marketing plan and yield management effectiveness to diversify revenue sources
  • Train and motivate staff to meet quality standards
  • Set quarterly departmental goals and monitor progress
  • Manage HR functions including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations
