Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six or more years of progressive hospitality management experience or appropriate degree and related experience
  • Proficiency in Windows OS and office software
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations

Job Qualifications

  • At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • or a 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years of related experience
  • or a 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years of related experience
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and standard office software
  • Valid driver’s license for the applicable state
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent speaking, reading and writing abilities for effective communication
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Capability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work under stressful, high pressure situations
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Skilled in anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving workplace problems
  • Ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources and adapt accordingly
  • Effective at listening, understanding, clarifying and resolving concerns
  • Comfortable working with financial data and basic arithmetic

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with dress code and wearing a name tag
  • Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality’s standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Ensure certification requirements such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid are met
  • Lead daily ABR meetings in conjunction with Director of Sales focusing on prospecting and account calls
  • Assist in creation and monitoring of hotel’s annual budget plan
  • Play a key role in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
  • Conduct daily tours of operating departments and make operational adjustments
  • Hold weekly staff meetings and training sessions
  • Conduct monthly financial calls and reviews
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards and train new managers
  • Oversee service standards training across departments
  • Motivate and develop a positive team-oriented environment
  • Conduct regular property visits and provide reports
  • Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering managers
  • Manage timely submission of financial documents
  • Maintain cleanliness and property maintenance
  • Ensure employees maintain courteous and efficient interactions
  • Analyze financial data and generate accurate forecasts
  • Conduct performance appraisals and coaching for management personnel
  • Enforce fair treatment and disciplinary standards
  • Meet and assist sales clients on property
  • Manage hotel safe procedures and audits
  • Conduct credit meetings and enforce collection policies
  • Complete corporate training and certification requirements
  • Ensure scheduled meetings take place on property
