Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license for the applicable state
- at least 6 years progressive experience in hotel or related field, or equivalent education and experience combination
- proficiency with Windows operating systems, spreadsheets, and word processing software
- strong leadership capabilities
- excellent communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing
- ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
- problem-solving aptitude
- ability to quickly evaluate and decide among alternatives
- ability to handle workplace conflicts effectively
- capability to analyze and use financial data
- commitment to company standards and regulatory compliance
Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years related experience or 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years related experience
- proficiency in Windows operating systems and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
- valid driver’s license
- strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- effective speaking, reading and writing skills
- ability to convey information clearly
- ability to evaluate and select among alternative actions quickly and accurately
- ability to work well under stress and pressure
- ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- effective problem handling skills including anticipating and solving workplace issues
- ability to assimilate complex information and data

- ability to work with financial information and basic arithmetic
Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- comply with and ensure adherence to Aimbridge Hospitality's standards and regulations
- comply with certification requirements such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
- ensure daily ABR meetings focusing on prospecting and account calls
- assist in creation and implementation of hotel annual budget plan and monitor hotel performance
- play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
- tour operating departments daily making adjustments as needed
- conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions
- conduct monthly financial calls and reviews with department managers
- adhere to all policies and train new managers on compliance
- ensure service standards training in each department
- assist in creating a positive, team-oriented environment
- complete consistent property visits and provide reports
- inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering
- ensure timely submission of financial information to Corporate Office
- oversee cleanliness and maintenance through inspections and preventive programs
- ensure employees maintain attentive and courteous interaction with guests and colleagues
- review weekly and monthly financial positions and generate reforecasts
- perform department manager performance appraisals
- motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management personnel
- ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees
- meet sales clients and assist in sales effort
- be present in public areas during peak times greeting guests
- maintain hotel safe procedures and perform monthly audits
- conduct bi-monthly credit meetings and oversee credit and collection policies
- complete required corporate training and certifications
- ensure scheduled meetings take place on property
