Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid driver’s license for the applicable state
  • at least 6 years progressive experience in hotel or related field, or equivalent education and experience combination
  • proficiency with Windows operating systems, spreadsheets, and word processing software
  • strong leadership capabilities
  • excellent communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing
  • ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
  • problem-solving aptitude
  • ability to quickly evaluate and decide among alternatives
  • ability to handle workplace conflicts effectively

Job Qualifications

  • At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years related experience or 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years related experience
  • proficiency in Windows operating systems and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • valid driver’s license
  • strong leadership and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • comply with and ensure adherence to Aimbridge Hospitality's standards and regulations
  • comply with certification requirements such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
  • ensure daily ABR meetings focusing on prospecting and account calls
  • assist in creation and implementation of hotel annual budget plan and monitor hotel performance
  • play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
  • tour operating departments daily making adjustments as needed
  • conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions
  • conduct monthly financial calls and reviews with department managers
  • adhere to all policies and train new managers on compliance
  • ensure service standards training in each department
  • assist in creating a positive, team-oriented environment
  • complete consistent property visits and provide reports
  • inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering
  • ensure timely submission of financial information to Corporate Office
  • oversee cleanliness and maintenance through inspections and preventive programs
  • ensure employees maintain attentive and courteous interaction with guests and colleagues
  • review weekly and monthly financial positions and generate reforecasts
  • perform department manager performance appraisals
  • motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management personnel
  • ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees
  • meet sales clients and assist in sales effort
  • be present in public areas during peak times greeting guests
  • maintain hotel safe procedures and perform monthly audits
  • conduct bi-monthly credit meetings and oversee credit and collection policies
  • complete required corporate training and certifications
  • ensure scheduled meetings take place on property
