Job Requirements
- High school graduate or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum 1 year of mechanical experience or BHS/PBB experience or pass mechanical aptitude test
- Ability to work non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to obtain and maintain airport security badge
- Valid driver's license and insurable under company policy
- Compliance with ELS drug and alcohol policy
- Commitment to safety and safe work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum 1 year of previous mechanical experience, or 1 year previous BHS or PBB experience, or ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test
- Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays
- Previous work experience in an airport environment preferred
- Previous experience working on conveyors and/or passenger boarding bridges preferred
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Valid driver's license and insurable under company policy
- Ability to obtain and maintain airport security badge
Job Duties
- Assists with basic maintenance assignments involving preventive, routine and emergency maintenance, clearing system jams
- shift inspections
- cleaning
- electrical and mechanical adjustments
- Diagnoses equipment failures under the guidance of senior personnel
- ensures equipment safety
- Takes direction and seeks guidance and expertise of senior personnel
- accepts training and mentoring
- Reads and interprets repair manuals, basic schematics and supervisor/manager's instructions
- Works in tight and/or high spaces using appropriate PPE and fall protection equipment
- Follows company and federal policies and procedures
- completes assigned training
- Completes work assignment forms as per procedures
- Assists technicians with cleaning and greasing
- Completes safety training
- Complies with all safety programs
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management
