Job Requirements

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • proven experience flying drones in professional or commercial settings
  • familiarity with multiple flight control systems such as DJI Pilot apps and QGroundControl
  • valid driver's license
  • ability to work outdoors in varied conditions and travel to project sites
  • ability to lift and carry 55+ pounds over short distances

Job Qualifications

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • proven experience flying drones in professional or commercial settings
  • familiarity with multiple flight control systems such as DJI Pilot apps and QGroundControl
  • valid driver's license
  • ability to work outdoors in varied conditions and travel to project sites
  • experience operating drones equipped with LiDAR or photogrammetry payloads
  • familiarity with GPS equipment for ground control and checkpoint collection
  • surveying or mapping experience preferred
  • strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to field conditions

Job Duties

  • Operate and manage flight missions using multiple drone platforms
  • conduct pre-flight inspections, mission planning, and post-flight checks to ensure safety and compliance
  • deploy and monitor LiDAR and photogrammetry payloads for aerial mapping projects
  • upload, transfer, and organize flight data for processing by the data team
  • assist survey and engineering teams with aerial data acquisition
  • provide support in integrating aerial data with ground survey results
  • maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot UAS hardware, batteries, and related field equipment
  • ensure compliance with FAA Part 107 regulations, airspace restrictions, and EHRA safety protocols
  • track flight hours, maintenance logs, and regulatory requirements
