Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays if required
  • Valid driver’s license required (must meet airport driving standards)
  • Must maintain good attendance and demonstrate reliable work performance
  • Must maintain excellent safety performance and adherence to company standards
  • Must obtain Loadmaster and Cabin Door Operation certifications within 60-90 days of hire
  • No active airport operations driving infractions within the past 12 months
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks related to ramp operations
  • Prior experience operating trucks or ground service equipment preferred but not required (training provided)
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Must pass pre-employment drug testing
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables

Job Duties

  • Safely operate stair trucks, AviRamps, and other assigned ground service equipment in accordance with company and airport regulations
  • Abide by the time standards for meeting aircraft with equipment safely and efficiently
  • Position and secure stair units (stabilizers) and AviRamps to aircraft, ensuring alignment and stability before passenger boarding or deplaning
  • Verify the cabin door is properly positioned over the stair truck boot/shoe mechanism before operation
  • Place a cone behind the tail of the aircraft after the Loadmaster clears you to approach the plane following its parking, and place cones around the elevator of the aircraft as part of the aircraft arrival and safety setup before pulling equipment to the plane
  • Remove the cones after all units have been removed from the aircraft
  • Connect the equipment only once the Loadmaster has completed their walkaround of that door (L1 & L2)
  • Collaborate and communicate verbally with Loadmasters, Customer Service Agents, and Ramp teams to ensure safe, coordinated, and on-time aircraft turns
  • Support ramp operations when no stair or AviRamp tasks are required (baggage loading/unloading, chocking, marshalling assistance, etc.)
  • Conduct pre- and post-use inspections of assigned GSE, reporting any maintenance needs immediately
  • Maintain full compliance with all Menzies safety standards and Denver International Airport driving policies
  • Attend all required training and maintain certifications as assigned
  • Represent the company with professionalism and situational awareness while working airside
  • Perform other service functions as required
