Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Meet eligibility requirements in the McLane Transfer and Promotion Policy
- Ability to complete CDL training and obtain Class A license within 6 months
- Physical ability to perform standing, walking, sitting, climbing, reaching, bending, squatting, and stooping
- Ability to read, comprehend, and perform basic math calculations
- Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Meet eligibility requirements in the McLane Transfer and Promotion Policy
- Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less
- Ability and willingness to select, load, unload, and deliver all products ordered by McLane customers
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, reach, bend, squat, and stoop to perform essential job functions
- Ability to read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations to verify product quantities
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and teammates
- Ability to safely drive a tractor-trailer using a 2-wheeled dolly, ramp, and onboard PeopleNet devices
- Ability to read, write, and understand English sufficiently for job safety and communication
Job Duties
- Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure
- Operate truck in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
- Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection reports
- Operate Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH) to document delivery receipts, product temperatures, and exceptions
- Ride and train with Driver Trainer to learn commercial driving regulations and vehicle maneuvers
- Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, including delivery receipt and product temperature documentation
- Assist the Driver in unloading trailer and delivering product into customer premises
- Perform other assigned duties
