Job Requirements
- Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Meet eligibility requirements in the McLane Transfer and Promotion Policy
- Ability and willingness to load, unload, and deliver all products ordered by McLane customers
- Ability to read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations to verify product quantities
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and teammates
- Ability to safely drive a tractor-trailer and use related equipment
- Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job tasks safely and effectively
Job Duties
- Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure
- Operate truck safely in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
- Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection reports
- Operate Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH) device, document delivery receipts, product temperatures, and exceptions
- Ride and train with Driver Trainer to gain knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skills
- Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations including delivery receipts and product conditions
- Assist Driver in unloading trailer and delivering product into customer premises
- Perform other duties as assigned
