Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three years of driving experience, preferably in shred/box trucks and route management
  • Current valid driver’s license Class D or above
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass medical examinations and certifications as required
  • Ability to read and understand English to comply with federal regulations
  • Willingness to undergo mandatory immunizations and credentials based on customer requirements
  • Ability to perform physical tasks involving loading/unloading and securing cargo safely

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Three or more years of experience driving shred or box trucks and managing routes preferred
  • Current valid driver’s license Class D or above with an excellent driving record
  • Ability to operate company equipment safely and efficiently
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand highway traffic signs and respond to inquiries
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and experience completing DOT logs when applicable
  • Knowledge of safety standards and compliance with local, state, and federal driver laws

Job Duties

  • Performs onsite/offsite document destruction of confidential information
  • Performs pre/post-trip checks and driver check-in on the assigned truck prior to leaving or closing for the day
  • Reports maintenance issues to Transportation/Dispatcher for follow-up
  • Operates company equipment in a safe and efficient manner to minimize risk of injury and equipment damage
  • Complies with all local, state, and federal laws governing driver fitness and hours of service
  • Completes and maintains DOT logs when applicable
  • Maintains a high level of security when emptying consoles and/or collection totes by ensuring all documents are retrieved and consoles/containers are securely locked
  • Services accounts using a hand-held device, ensuring console/containers are barcoded, locations are up to date, and accuracy of type and quantity of consoles/containers
  • Manages assigned routes ensuring customers' confidential material is collected and serviced in a timely and accurate manner
  • Handles and responds to all customer problems and inquiries expediently and in the best interest of both the customer and Stericycle
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
