Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • valid standard driver’s license class D or above with excellent driving record
  • ability to obtain and maintain Medical Examiner Card
  • six plus months driving experience preferably in shred/box trucks and route management
  • able to read and speak English for traffic signs and official communication
  • capable of performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • ability to work the scheduled shifts including every 12th Saturday
  • willing to comply with all federal, state, and local laws and company policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • six plus months experience in driving and route management preferred
  • valid standard driver’s license class D or above with excellent driving record
  • ability to obtain and retain a valid Medical Examiner Card
  • proficient English reading and speaking skills sufficient to understand traffic signs and communicate
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and schedules
  • basic vehicle maintenance knowledge

Job Duties

  • Manage assigned routes ensuring waste is picked up safely, timely, and accurately
  • pick up and transport waste complying with federal, state, and local regulations
  • plan daily schedule based on customer needs reviewing manifest, route sheets, and other paperwork
  • follow routing software schedule
  • prepare and load trucks with necessary supplies
  • unload trucks at Stericycle and customer sites securing the waste
  • provide highest level of customer service and communicate issues to supervisors
  • complete required paperwork and DOT driver logs accurately
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • report maintenance issues
  • use electronic logging device and GPS for route compliance
  • communicate route changes and customer issues to dispatcher
  • perform additional duties as assigned
