Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of relevant driving or route management experience
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid Class D or higher driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain Medical Examiner Card
- Proficiency in English for communication and regulatory compliance
- Physical ability to load, unload, and secure waste materials
- Willingness to work early morning shifts starting between 4:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
- Ability to operate vehicle telematics and comply with DOT regulations
- Commitment to uphold safety and customer service standards
Job Qualifications
- Preferred education in high school or equivalent
- Six months or more experience preferably in driving shred/box trucks and route management
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid standard driver's license Class D or above with an excellent driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Medical Examiner Card
- Ability to speak and read English sufficiently to understand highway traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete required documentation
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and adherence to safety protocols
Job Duties
- Manages assigned routes ensuring customers' waste is picked up in a safe, timely, and accurate manner
- Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations
- Plans daily schedule based on customers' needs by reviewing daily paperwork, e.g., manifest, route sheets, previous VCR, etc.
- Follows routing software route schedule
- Loads and unloads trucks at various Stericycle and customer sites, ensuring supplies are adequate and waste is secured
- Ensures customers have properly packaged waste before transportation
- Provides high-level customer service and communicates issues to management
- Performs pre-trip and post-trip maintenance on vehicles and reports any issues
- Completes DOT Driver Log and other required paperwork accurately
- Uses ELD and GPS technology to log hours and monitor routes
- Reports any problems with accounts to supervisors
- Ensures that covering employees are informed of exceptional circumstances
