Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of relevant driving or route management experience
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Valid Class D or higher driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Medical Examiner Card
  • Proficiency in English for communication and regulatory compliance
  • Physical ability to load, unload, and secure waste materials
  • Willingness to work early morning shifts starting between 4:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Ability to operate vehicle telematics and comply with DOT regulations
  • Commitment to uphold safety and customer service standards

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred education in high school or equivalent
  • Six months or more experience preferably in driving shred/box trucks and route management
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid standard driver's license Class D or above with an excellent driving record
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Medical Examiner Card
  • Ability to speak and read English sufficiently to understand highway traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete required documentation
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and adherence to safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Manages assigned routes ensuring customers' waste is picked up in a safe, timely, and accurate manner
  • Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations
  • Plans daily schedule based on customers' needs by reviewing daily paperwork, e.g., manifest, route sheets, previous VCR, etc.
  • Follows routing software route schedule
  • Loads and unloads trucks at various Stericycle and customer sites, ensuring supplies are adequate and waste is secured
  • Ensures customers have properly packaged waste before transportation
  • Provides high-level customer service and communicates issues to management
  • Performs pre-trip and post-trip maintenance on vehicles and reports any issues
  • Completes DOT Driver Log and other required paperwork accurately
  • Uses ELD and GPS technology to log hours and monitor routes
  • Reports any problems with accounts to supervisors
  • Ensures that covering employees are informed of exceptional circumstances
