Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • valid standard driver’s license (Class D or above)
  • ability to obtain Medical Examiner Card
  • minimum 6 months experience in driving and route management preferred
  • ability to read and speak English sufficiently
  • ability to operate commercial vehicles safely
  • willingness to comply with company policies and DOT regulations
  • physical capability to perform job duties
  • For Hire endorsement required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6+ months experience in driving and route management
  • valid standard driver’s license (Class D or above) with excellent driving record
  • ability to obtain and retain Medical Examiner Card (MED)
  • proficiency in English to understand traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete records
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work independently and safely
  • knowledge of federal, state, and local waste transport regulations

Job Duties

  • Manage assigned routes ensuring timely and accurate waste pickup
  • pick up and transport waste safely according to regulations
  • plan daily schedule based on customer needs and route information
  • follow routing software schedule
  • prepare and load trucks with necessary supplies
  • unload trucks securely at various locations
  • ensure customers have properly packaged waste
  • provide high-level customer service and communicate issues
  • secure waste and equipment before vehicle operation
  • complete and submit paperwork accurately
  • maintain DOT driver log
  • communicate route changes and issues with supervisors
  • ensure route coverage information is communicated
  • report problems before end of day
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle maintenance
  • report maintenance issues
  • use ELD and GPS to log hours
  • perform other duties as assigned
