Job Requirements
- High school or GED equivalent
- proven box truck or at least 24 ft-long truck driving experience
- successfully pass physical exam
- successfully passing the Human Performance Evaluation on lift, lift-carry, push-pull, climb, and repetitive posture
- the employee must be able to see and hear including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- frequently move, stand, walk, and sit
- frequently use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms
- able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 75lbs
- repetitive hand use including pushing and pulling up to 50lbs, reaching above shoulder
- frequent bending and squatting
- legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as rear cargo area
Job Qualifications
- A good history of DMV/MVR record
- possess a valid driver's license appropriate for the class of vehicle
- willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
- strong time management and customer service skills
- attention to detail
- able to use forklift or pallet jack to move the pallets and/or products
- successfully pass background checks including criminal history and drug screening
Job Duties
- Loading, transporting, delivering and unloading items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner
- reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied
- assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles
- collecting payments for delivered items as needed
- providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients
- adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
- abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
- preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries
- operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
- any other related duties as assigned by the management
