Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- 2 years of box truck driving experience
- Ability to pass airport security clearance
- Basic English communication skills
- Ability to operate technological devices
- Good attendance
- Flexibility for various shifts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions
- Authorization to work in the USA
- Prior aviation industry experience is a plus
Job Qualifications
- Must have valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Prior experience in airline or aviation-related industry is a plus
- Ability to pass all required airport security clearance
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Understanding and ability to use and manage technological devices
- Good attendance record
- Ability to adapt to new operating procedures
- Awareness of safety risks
- Ability to communicate issues and knowledge gaps
- HACCP awareness or willingness to train
- Ability to handle pressure and fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and overtime
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures
- Experience on US airport tarmac strongly recommended
- Understanding of hygiene, safety and security rules
- Authorization to work in the USA for any employer
Job Duties
- Load and unload all equipment on trucks
- Check conformity of number of trolleys and cabinets to be delivered before loading
- Fill pre-trip inspection book and perform mandatory safety checks of vehicle for each shift
- Ensure loading of products into vehicles according to galley plan
- Ensure on-time delivery of all items for each flight
- Communicate by radio to supervisors and dispatcher
- Drive a heavy vehicle respecting traffic regulations
- Secure all products before delivery to aircraft by sealing material
- Ensure compliance of loading according to procedures
- Ensure cleaning of vehicle and area around dock after each shift
- Fill various security, safety and HACCP documents
- Train new drivers
- Install protective devices such as bracing, padding, and strapping to prevent shifting or damage
- Observe proper use of equipment
- Follow all health, safety and security procedures
- Maintain clean working area, loading docks, and equipment
- Be diligent, punctual and reliable
- Perform other duties assigned
- Proper utilization and compliance with all relative technology provided
- Communicate updates and issues by radio
- Comply with GMPs
- Use and comply with Newrest safety vest, work boots and SIDA badge
- Implement current and new operation procedures
- Report safety risks to leadership
- Flexibility to accommodate job tasks as requested
- Understand and adapt to rapidly changing work environment
