Job Requirements
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license
- Valid medical examiner's card
- Hazmat and airbrake certifications
- At least one year of Class A professional driving experience within the last five years with a clean driving record or equivalent educational experience
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
- Physical ability to lift 25 to 75 pounds routinely and occasionally over 125 pounds with aid of material handling equipment
- Ability to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Must obtain forklift operator certification

- Must be able to obtain forklift operator certification
Job Duties
- Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations
- Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling
- Adhere to all Airgas safety standards and government regulations including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA and OSHA
- Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed
- Drive a company-provided straight or box truck equipped with safety technology
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries and pickups
