Job Requirements

  • must be 21 years of age
  • valid CDL A license
  • high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • 6-12 months commercial driving experience
  • clean motor vehicle report for past three years
  • pass pre-employment drug test
  • pass road test
  • valid current DOT health card or ability to secure one
  • able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move product cases weighing 60 to 90 pounds
  • meet all state licensing and certification requirements
  • comply with DOT regulations and company safety policies

Job Qualifications

  • 6-12 months commercial driving experience in customized and specialty vehicles
  • one year or more commercial driving experience preferred
  • valid CDL A license
  • meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • clean motor vehicle report for past three years
  • pass pre-employment drug test
  • pass road test
  • valid current DOT health card or ability to secure one
  • ability to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to move products weighing 60 to 90 pounds

Job Duties

  • perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • inspect tractor truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and report all safety issues or repairs needed
  • follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • perform count check of items and verify customer invoices
  • drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedule
  • unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
  • perform damage control checks on items and report to supervisor
  • verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
  • collect money where required
  • load customer returns and secure trailer doors
  • ensure that tractor trailer and freight are appropriately locked and secured at all times
  • unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
  • perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area
  • complete daily record of hours of service and log according to Federal DOT and company requirements
  • secure all equipment and paperwork at the end of shift
  • perform other related duties as assigned
