Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Pass road test
- Able to work around major floral holidays
- Ability to work any day of the week including weekends
- Able to start as early as 12:30 am
Job Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A issued by state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of one year commercial driving experience in any industry or in food/beverage delivery
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Ability to operate manual transmissions preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80 plus pounds repetitively during each shift
Job Duties
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer
- Immediately report any and all safety hazards including repairs required
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Ensure all required route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available upon dispatch
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times
- Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines
- Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas
- Ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked or secured at all times
- Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
