Job Requirements
- Experience with flatbed truck operation required
- Two years of commercial driving experience with relevant cargo preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Successful completion of a road test
- Ability to meet company insurability standards
- Ability to meet FMCSA drug and alcohol clearinghouse requirements
- Compliance with Federal driver qualification regulations under 49 CFR part 391
- Meet Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) quality criteria
- No drug violations within the previous 5 years or completion of certified SAP program
- Basic knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Ability to understand written instructions
- Basic math skills for cargo handling
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships
- Strong decision-making ability
Job Qualifications

- Successful completion of a road test required

- Ability to meet current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) quality criteria

- Basic knowledge of commercial vehicle operation laws and government regulations
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions related to work situations
- Basic measurement and arithmetic skills for handling cargo dimensions and weight
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and customers
- Strong decision-making skills based on knowledge, experience, and judgment
Job Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating over 26,001 lbs to deliver or pick up merchandise
- Drive and perform safety-related activities on motor vehicles weighing 10,000 pounds or less as required
- Follow safety procedures for transporting goods including cargo securement using tarps
- Maneuver trucks safely into loading or unloading positions
- Load and unload vehicles as required
- Perform daily vehicle inspections as per FMCSA to ensure roadworthiness
- Record inspection information or defects on Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR)
- Use electronic logging device (ELD) to log daily activities
- Report traffic incidents, accidents, or vehicle damage to supervisory staff
- Read bills of lading and manifests to determine assignment details
- Check load documentation for accuracy and obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods
- Adhere to all safety processes and protocols
