Job Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating over 26,001 lbs
- perform daily vehicle inspections as per FMCSA guidelines
- secure cargo for transport including use of tarps and chains
- load and unload vehicles as needed
- use electronic logging device to record driving activities
- check load documentation for accuracy and completeness
- report traffic incidents or vehicle damage to supervisory staff
- follow safety procedures strictly
- assist in unloading material at customer location if required
- communicate effectively with warehouse and management staff
