Job Duties

  • Operate commercial vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating over 26,001 lbs
  • perform daily vehicle inspections as per FMCSA guidelines
  • secure cargo for transport including use of tarps and chains
  • load and unload vehicles as needed
  • use electronic logging device to record driving activities
  • check load documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • report traffic incidents or vehicle damage to supervisory staff
  • follow safety procedures strictly
  • assist in unloading material at customer location if required
  • communicate effectively with warehouse and management staff
