Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have tractor trailer experience
- Must have a clean driving record
- Satisfactory completion of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for tractor trailer operation
- Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months
- Must be able to work outside and in a warehouse environment
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to read and follow manufacturer’s instruction manuals
- Must be able to work independently and accomplish tasks in a timely manner
- Must have strong interpersonal skills
- Must be adaptable to change and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Tractor trailer driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for tractor trailer operation
- Basic computer skills
- Proficient in English reading, writing and verbal communication
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work independently or within a group
- Ability to read and follow manufacturer’s instruction manuals
- Ability to accomplish tasks timely
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Adaptability to fast-paced work environment
Job Duties
- Safely operate the shuttle vehicle on each trip
- Account for records involving trailer numbers and position of vehicles
- Interact daily with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements
- Communicate using cellular telephone or two-way radio with operations and warehouse personnel in a courteous and professional manner
- Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading position following signal from loading crew and place safety wheel chocks to prevent trailer movement
- Proper use of airline, electrical hookup and backing procedure
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on equipment daily
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and yard
- Follow all company policies, guidelines and quality procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary
