Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One year experience as a professional driver
- Must have an excellent driving record
- Must have skills in the safe and efficient operation of appropriate size vehicle
- Knowledge of state and local laws governing motor vehicle operation
- Must have or obtain valid Commercial Driver License or class D driver license with F P or equivalent endorsement within probationary period
- Must be insurable by St Jude insurance carrier

- Ability to maintain positive relationships with patients staff and visitors

Job Duties
- Operates a hospital motor vehicle to transport employees patients and visitors between the hospital and affiliated locations
- Maintains scheduled routes and times throughout the work shift
- Assists passengers entering and exiting the vehicle and with baggage or supplies
- Ensures passenger safety by enforcing seat belt use
- Transports isolation patients and performs vehicle cleaning as needed
- Delivers hospital mail from the post office to the hospital mailroom
- Provides general valet services including managing guest keys and vehicle transfers
- Performs preventive maintenance checks and operational vehicle inspections
- Maintains accurate daily vehicle passenger logs and reports
- Fuels and cleans the vehicle regularly
- Provides excellent customer service to ensure a positive patient experience
- Performs other related duties as assigned
