Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid standard Class D WI license or local state equivalent
One to two years of commercial driving experience a plus
Experience in transportation of temperature controlled products preferred
Friendly, outgoing and courteous customer service demeanor
Sense of urgency in meeting critical and time sensitive deadlines
Ability to work with limited supervision
Available to work long shifts and Saturdays
Basic English speaking proficiency
Physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds regularly and occasionally over 80 pounds
Ability to stand, sit, walk and drive for prolonged periods
Ability to pass Medical Examiner’s Certification
Ability to perform repetitive reaching, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong communication skills
Ability to work with limited supervision
Valid standard Class D WI license or local state equivalent

Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and prolonged standing
Attention to detail and adherence to safety regulations

Job Duties

Perform all pre-trip responsibilities to include checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries
Perform necessary vehicle safety inspections for vehicle
Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route
ensure vehicle is properly secured during drop-offs
Load and unload products from vehicle using dolly or other appropriate devices safely
Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures confirming receipt of product
Contact management to discuss issues or concerns as they arise throughout the work day
Perform all post-delivery actions, including unloading damaged product, customer returns, and complete any necessary documents
Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations during the operation of the truck and handling of product
Develop and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and goodwill by providing professional assistance and by demonstrating an interest in the customer’s needs
report any complaints to Supervisor
Collect money from customers and properly record transactions on company documentation, including invoices
ensure that payment (cash, checks, etc.) are properly secured
Ensure that safety training is current as per company policy
Supports the Fleet Manager by ensuring that vehicles are maintained according to schedule and records are current and correct
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
