Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Maintain a current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- CPR certification and annual driver education
- Ability to operate a chair lift and secure regular and mechanical wheelchairs and scooters
- Comply with all community procedures and safety regulations
- Complete and pass drug and alcohol screenings and background checks
- Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision
- Demonstrate responsible decision-making in resident care
- Complete all required training including safety and regulatory courses
Job Qualifications
- Maintain a current applicable driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Possess CPR certification and complete annual driver education
- Knowledge of safety precautions and compliance with safety procedures
- Ability to operate chair lifts and secure wheelchairs and scooters
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Competent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work semi-independently and demonstrate initiative
Job Duties
- Provide transportation services for residents
- Assist residents with any special needs during transportation such as carrying packages opening doors and helping in and out of the vehicle
- Maintain focus on driving at all times and direct passenger interactions to onboard support staff
- Do not use a personal cell phone while driving
- Provide miscellaneous pickup and delivery services as needed
- Perform monthly and pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness and safety equipment
- Report any resident changes in condition to the Assisted Living Coordinator or Reminiscence Coordinator
