Job Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 3 years driving experience
- Previous work experience as a driver preferred
- Experience working with geriatric population desirable
- Must have valid drivers license, clear DMV record, and be insurable under Companys insurance policy
Job Duties
- Demonstrates commitment to companys mission, values and standards of ethical behavior
- Delivers residents to and from appointments without delay or incident, and in comfort
- Plans and coordinates transportation for all outings for residents
- Runs errands for facility within reasonable time limits
- Understands resident mobility issues and applies utmost care and responsibility in transporting them to prevent injury or discomfort
- Calls supervisor to report any difficulties in making pick-up/drop offs
- Follows all California transportation laws and Company policies and procedures when operating vehicle, including Vehicle Safety Checklist procedures
- Refills vehicles with fuel as necessary
- Notifies Maintenance and Administration if vehicles need maintenance or repair work
