Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of commercial driving experience preferred
  • Valid standard Class D WI license or local state equivalent
  • Ability to work long shifts and Saturdays
  • Basic English speaking proficiency
  • Friendly, outgoing and courteous customer service demeanor
  • Ability to meet physical demands including prolonged standing, sitting, walking, and driving
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds regularly and occasionally more
  • Must pass a Medical Examiner’s Certification
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of commercial driving experience a plus
  • Experience in transportation of temperature-controlled products preferred
  • Friendly, outgoing and courteous customer service demeanor
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency in meeting critical and time sensitive deadlines
  • Valid standard Class D WI license or local state equivalent
  • Basic English speaking proficiency

Job Duties

  • Perform all pre-trip responsibilities to include checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries
  • Perform necessary vehicle safety inspections for vehicle
  • Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route
  • Ensure vehicle is properly secured during drop-offs
  • Load and unload products from vehicle using dolly or other appropriate devices safely
  • Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures confirming receipt of product
  • Contact management to discuss issues or concerns as they arise throughout the work day
  • Perform all post-delivery actions including unloading damaged product, customer returns, and complete any necessary documents
  • Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations during the operation of the truck and handling of product
  • Develop and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and goodwill by providing professional assistance and by demonstrating an interest in the customer’s needs
  • Report any complaints to supervisor
  • Collect money from customers and properly record transactions on company documentation, including invoices
  • Ensure that payment (cash, checks, etc.) are properly secured
  • Ensure that safety training is current as per company policy
  • Support the Fleet Manager by ensuring that vehicles are maintained according to schedule and records are current and correct
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
