Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record
  • Ability to maintain compliance with Resident Rights and HIPAA policies
  • Experience in passenger transportation or related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assist disabled and elderly residents safely
  • Willingness to maintain vehicle cleanliness and conduct inspections
  • Ability to work full-time hours
  • Flexibility to be available for special occasions and schedules

  • Valid drivers license required with clean driving record

Job Duties

  • Ensure that every new admission has a smooth and positive admission experience
  • Ensure a positive customer experience for new residents and family members
  • Communicate and partner with nursing, operations, and business office leadership
  • Transport patients and clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner
  • Complete vehicle pre-trip and post trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
  • Communicate with nursing staff regarding resident appointments
  • Assist disabled and elderly residents in and out of vehicle and buildings
  • Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip
  • Assist all departments in delivery and pick-up of related work items while adhering to HIPAA guidelines
  • Clean and service vehicle with lubricants, fuel, and accessories
  • Report all vehicle repairs and unsafe or hazardous situations immediately to supervisor
  • Attend and participate in required training, in-services, staff meetings and online training
  • Maintain state driver license in good standing
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or executive director
