Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles
- Ability to assist with mobility of elderly or disabled residents
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Compliance with HIPAA and resident rights regulations
- Availability to work full time
- Ability to pass background and driving record checks

Job Duties
- Ensure that every new admission has a smooth and positive admission experience
- Ensure a positive customer experience for new residents and family members
- Communicate and partner with nursing, operations, and business office leadership
- Transport patients and clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner
- Complete vehicle pretrip and post trip inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Communicate with nursing staff regarding resident appointments
- Ensure compliance with Resident Rights and HIPAA policies at all times
- Ensure that all transportation procedures are followed in accordance with established policies
- Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of driver
- Transport residents to and from appointments and activities
- Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip
- Assist disabled and elderly residents in and out of vehicle and in and out of buildings and doctor’s offices when appropriate
- Assist all departments in the delivery and pick-up of related work items such as x-rays, pharmaceuticals, medical records, mail drop off while adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- Communicate with supervisor or other designee upon disruption of service for any reason
- Clean and service vehicle with lubricants, fuel, and accessories
- Report all vehicle repairs and any unsafe or hazardous situations immediately to supervisor
- Remain flexible and available for special occasions and special schedules
- Use tact and understanding with facility personnel, residents, family members, and outside community contacts
- Attend and participate in required training, in-services, staff meetings and online training
- Maintain state driver license in good standing
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or executive director
