Job Requirements
- be approachable and able to maintain a friendly and courteous manner, even during busy periods
- be available to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, and/or weekends, as required
- thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with moderate to high noise levels
- be able to understand and effectively communicate instructions and information
- be able to lift and carry items such as beverage cases, ice containers, and bus tubs, weighing up to 30 pounds
- move efficiently within the bar service area and stand for extended periods of time
- be able to walk or stand for the entire duration of their scheduled shift
- frequently reach, bend, stoop, lift, and wipe down surfaces to maintain a clean and well-stocked bar area
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in a bar or restaurant environment is a plus but not required
- ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests
- strong multitasking and organizational skills
- knowledge of responsible alcohol service and safety guidelines is an advantage
- positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- plays a key role in facilitating excellent drink service that complements our food and entertainment, contributing to a lively and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests
- keeps the bartender and immediate supervisor informed of any low stock levels, spills, or equipment malfunctions, taking immediate action or suggesting solutions
- provides efficient assistance by promptly replenishing bar supplies, preparing garnishes, and ensuring ice levels are maintained, helping to reduce wait times for guests
- maintains a positive and helpful attitude while supporting the bartenders and anticipating their needs during peak service times
- assists with guest inquiries by communicating information to the bartender and ensuring the bar area is well-maintained and organized for a positive guest interaction
- supports the bartender by quickly and efficiently retrieving ingredients, glassware, and other necessary items
- ensures that empty drinkware is collected and the bar area remains organized and presentable throughout service
- alerts the bartender or manager to any guest issues or concerns observed at the bar
- adheres to all company policies and procedures regarding responsible alcohol service and safety regulations
- responsible for stocking and organizing all bar-related inventory, including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, and garnishes, in designated storage locations
- assists with periodic inventory counts of bar stock as needed
- checks and replenishes all required bar supplies before, during, and after service periods
- reports any shortages to the manager
- maintains the cleanliness and organization of the entire bar service area, including counters, shelves, refrigerators, and storage areas
- provides support to other team members as required to ensure smooth and efficient overall operations
- maintains positive working relationships with all Dave & Buster's team members to foster a collaborative and productive work environment
- must meet the minimum legal age requirement for serving or handling alcoholic beverages as per local regulations
