Job Requirements
- must be at least the minimum legal age for serving or handling alcoholic beverages as per local regulations
- able to stand or walk for the entire duration of the scheduled shift
- able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
- available to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, and weekends
- able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with moderate to high noise levels
- able to reach, bend, stoop, lift, and wipe down surfaces as needed
- effective communication skills
- approachable and able to maintain a friendly and courteous manner even during busy periods
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment is an asset
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- basic knowledge of responsible alcohol service and safety regulations
- ability to maintain a positive and courteous attitude under pressure
- familiarity with bar equipment and inventory management is a plus
Job Duties
- play a key role in facilitating excellent drink service that complements our food and entertainment, contributing to a lively and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests
- keep the bartender and immediate supervisor informed of any low stock levels, spills, or equipment malfunctions, taking immediate action or suggesting solutions
- provide efficient assistance by promptly replenishing bar supplies, preparing garnishes, and ensuring ice levels are maintained, helping to reduce wait times for guests
- maintain a positive and helpful attitude while supporting the bartenders and anticipating their needs during peak service times
- assist with guest inquiries by communicating information to the bartender and ensuring the bar area is well-maintained and organized for a positive guest interaction
- support the bartender by quickly and efficiently retrieving ingredients, glassware, and other necessary items
- ensure that empty drinkware is collected and the bar area remains organized and presentable throughout service
