Job Requirements
- Be approachable and maintain a friendly, courteous manner even during busy periods
- Be available to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, and/or weekends
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with moderate to high noise levels
- Understand and effectively communicate instructions and information
- Be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds such as beverage cases, ice containers, and bus tubs
- Move efficiently within the bar service area and stand for extended periods of time
- Be able to walk or stand for the entire duration of their scheduled shift
- Frequently reach, bend, stoop, lift, and wipe down surfaces to maintain a clean and well stocked area
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a bar support or hospitality role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic math skills for inventory counts
Job Duties
- Play a key role in facilitating excellent drink service that complements food and entertainment
- Keep bartender and supervisor informed of low stock levels, spills, or equipment malfunctions, taking action or suggesting solutions
- Replenish bar supplies promptly, prepare garnishes, and maintain ice levels to reduce guest wait times
- Maintain a positive and helpful attitude while supporting bartenders and anticipating their needs during peak times
- Assist with guest inquiries by communicating information to bartenders and ensuring the bar area is well maintained and organized
- Retrieve ingredients, glassware, and other necessary items quickly and efficiently
- Collect empty drinkware and keep the bar area organized and presentable throughout service
- Alert bartender or manager to any guest issues or concerns at the bar
- Adhere to company policies and responsible alcohol service and safety regulations
- Stock and organize all bar-related inventory including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, and garnishes
- Assist with periodic inventory counts of bar stock
- Check and replenish bar supplies before, during, and after service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar service area including counters, shelves, refrigerators, and storage
- Provide support to other team members to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain positive working relationships to foster collaboration
- Meet minimum legal age for alcohol service
