Job Description
The role of the Server Assistant at Dream Dance Steakhouse is integral to maintaining the smooth flow of service and ensuring that guests have an excellent dining experience from start to finish. This position starts at a pay rate of $7.25 per hour plus tips and requires flexibility to work various shifts, including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- six months related experience preferred
- experience with point-of-sale systems preferred
- ability to get Responsible Alcohol and ServSafe certifications within 90 days
- discretion in handling confidential information
- professional interaction with customers and team members
- availability for irregular hours including late nights, early mornings, weekends, holidays
- physical ability to perform demanding tasks including standing and walking for long periods
- ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and 60 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly expression of acknowledgement
- assess, anticipate, and attend to guest needs or concerns promptly and courteously
- assist servers by examining plating, portioning, temperature, and garnishing of completed food orders
- review orders for accuracy
- deliver food to guests
- use point-of-sale system to accurately enter orders, dispense correct change, and process credit card and other transactions
- ensure proper procedures are followed for handling financial transactions, including balancing bank to sales report
- clear and clean tables after guest service
- refill water glasses and remove discarded debris and used tableware
- take all dirty dishes to dish tank
- maintain a clean, well-stocked, and safe working environment
- empty trash cans as needed
- maintain complete knowledge of restaurant menu items, beverage selections, specials, promotions, events, and policies
- maintain complete knowledge of casino promotions, special events, answer guest inquiries, and provide directions
- work in other venues as assigned based on business need
- perform job duties in full compliance with departmental internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations
- perform other duties as assigned
