Job Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • Experience in camping teaching or a related field
  • Supervisory experience highly preferred
  • Passion for working with and mentoring children
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and guide fellow staff members
  • Specialized skills and ability to teach these skills to campers
  • Ability to create and implement daily lesson plans and special programs
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and desire to create an inclusive welcoming camp environment

Job Duties

  • Direct two age-appropriate theatrical productions including casting blocking staging and performance preparation
  • Plan and lead engaging rehearsals balancing structure creativity and fun
  • Create an inclusive supportive environment for campers of all experience levels
  • Incorporate camp values traditions and community-building into rehearsals and performances
  • Collaborate with Unit Heads counselors and camp leadership to coordinate schedules and camper support
  • Support needs related to scripts costumes props and set pieces in partnership with camp leadership
  • Clearly communicate expectations and directions to campers in an age-appropriate and encouraging way
