The Downtown Farmers' Market Onsite Ambassador is a vital role within a vibrant and community-focused organization that hosts seasonal farmers' markets in a bustling urban environment. This position requires an individual who is enthusiastic, dependable, and skilled in fostering positive interactions among multiple stakeholders including vendors, sponsors, entertainers, volunteers, and patrons. The Downtown Farmers' Market is a well-established event that takes place from May through October, offering fresh produce, local goods, and a lively community atmosphere. Additionally, the Downtown Winter Farmers' Market extends this experience into the colder months, providing year-round support to the local economy and community engagement.Show More

Job Requirements

  • Experience working in customer service, and events & project management is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products, preferred
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in interacting with the community

  • Events and sponsor activation experience

Job Duties

  • Provide onsite support during the Downtown Farmers' Market and the Downtown Winter Farmers' Market
  • Must be able and willing to load and unload Market truck, set up tents, tent weights, street barricades, tables, banners, and other on-site supplies with a smile
  • Must be organized, dependable, friendly, helpful, intuitive, and able to be on site at the Downtown Farmers' Market, on agreed upon Market dates, with the opportunity to be onsite for the Downtown Winter Farmers' Market
  • Greet and train volunteers
  • Organize and set up Information booth, programs and sponsor booth materials
  • Communicate with and assist event Sponsors, Vendors, Entertainers and patrons
  • Assist Market Team in accomplishing event production, projects and tasks
  • Work with onsite Market programming including Food Assistance systems, attendance systems, and Square for Market Merchandise
  • Other duties as assigned
