Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Business Management, or related field or minimum of five years related professional experience
- Experience working with a Board of Directors
- Knowledge of urban planning and real estate development process including terminology, laws, practices, principles, and regulations
- Knowledge of economic development finance principles
- Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills
- Ability to work effectively with public officials, business partners, staff, and the general public
- Ability to manage high-profile, sensitive, or controversial political situations
- Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships with the business community
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage daily operations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet applications, and GIS

Job Duties
- Prepare for DNA Board of Director meetings by sending out agendas, minutes, and treasurer reports
- Provide support to the DNA bookkeeper to prepare monthly financials and file annual taxes
- Work with the Idaho Department of Commerce and other cities to implement the Main Street program and achieve accredited Main Street city status
- Prepare necessary reports to Department of Commerce and National Main Street Center
- Oversee the attainment, measurement, and communication of annual goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain relationships with downtown business owners
- Manage and complete quarterly billings of the Business Improvement District
- Provide support to the Downtown Events Manager for downtown events and day-of coordination
- Develop an annual events calendar in collaboration with the DNA and City of Nampa
- Implement strategies for business expansion and redevelopment of downtown
- Support the coordination and implementation of the Downtown Implementation Plan
- Work with property owners to enhance retail and commercial spaces
- Coordinate volunteer efforts for cleaning and maintenance of downtown public spaces
- Support seasonal décor installation and takedown with volunteers and City staff
- Develop operations budget and yearly work plan in coordination with the board of directors
- Complete an annual report and presentation for the DNA annual meeting
- Update and maintain DNA bylaws
- Write, edit, and publish marketing materials or manage volunteers/interns doing so
- Respond to questions and comments from citizens
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments
- Maintain punctuality and adherence to work standards
- Accept changes in work assignments and methods as required
