Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous hospital or clinical experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good communication and telephone skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to stress and unpredictable situations
  • Work varied hours including days, evenings, holidays, and rotating days off
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent driving record

Job Duties

  • Assist patients and guests to and from vehicles including cars, courtesy vans, shuttle buses, or taxis
  • Establish and maintain pleasant and helpful relationships with visitors
  • Provide direction, mobility assistance, and answer general questions
  • Keep patient loading zones clear and transport patients, belongings, or medical devices
  • Call, record, and monitor taxi cabs and courtesy vehicles daily
  • Assist and support valet operations and sanitize equipment used
  • Control traffic in drive-up lanes to ensure safety
  • Perform wheelchair recovery in various campus locations
